1: Join Forums- Forums offer a great opportunity to market your
business. Now, joining forums just to promote yourself will only get you banned, so you much advertise your business tactfully. When you join a forum introduce yourself and participate in discussions. Make sure you set up your signature to display with all of your posts. You do not have to sit and post all day, but posting to a few threads will get that signature on several different areas of the forum! Not only will the forum members be interested and check our your website, search engines also index forums and that offers extra exposure!

2: Moderate a chat room or group- Offering to help moderate a chat
room or online chat group is another way I have found to work very well! Because
you are a moderator, people see you as being an example, which opens a new door
to another prospect for your business!

3: Get a website- If you want to run your business online a website is
vital! Once you have a website you can submit it to search engines for free. If
your company does not offer websites, I would highly recommend having a
professional build you one. If you are going to market online, you might as well
do it right…..With a professional looking website.

4: e-Mail signatures- These are very powerful! Set up a signature and
attach it to every email you send! Include your name, business name, and website
url. Even if you email a website about an order or email someone just to ask a
question! That puts your website and information in front of another new
prospect.

5: Write articles- Take some time and write some articles on a topic
that if of interest to you. Many website use articles for content for their
visitors to read and several webmasters use articles in ezines. When you write
any article, you can add an author bio, which can include any info you want to
add. This area can have your name, business description, website link, and
contact info. Just think if you write 5 articles that 10 websites display the
amount of exposure you will have for your business!

1. Envelope stuffing

Earn $300-$800 a week and more!!!! So easy, no experience necessary. However we need to make sure that only serious workers apply so there will be a “one-time fee for the enrollment costs are well as material that we will send you to mail out. Send a SASE to this address and start earning today!

Does that sound familiar? To begin with I will tell you that if you see this or anything like it run a mile away. Do not think that this sounds good and it’s only a measly $29.99 so I can afford to lose that if it’s a scam. Just say to yourself, “It is a scam.” Envelope stuffing has been around for decades and while they have slowly evolved, it is always the same. Just think for a second, why would any want to pay you $2-$4 to stuff an envelope and pay you over $500 a month or more, when they can buy themselves a machine that will stuff the envelopes for them? The machines are a few hundred dollars. In the long they would actually save money, by not paying someone else to stuff them.

How the scam works: You see an add similar to the one I wrote above. You send in the “small” fee which can be anywhere from $5 up to $100 or more. You sit at home waiting for your package thinking that you can put those brochures, pamphlets or postcards. The only thing your usually getting is a one page instruction telling you to put the same ad in a newspaper and wait for some sucker to grab the bait like you did. There are also the one in which you are told to send $1 to everyone on a list, usually 5 people, put your name in the first slot and take off the #5 name and send out these letters to those people. You will then be getting all these people sending you $1, and before you know it you’ll be a millionaire. No you won’t, do I have to tell you this is a scam? A scam that long ago moved onto the internet and is now usually played with sites such as Paypal, and Stormpay. Same scam different twist. You just send $1 or more to these 5 or 10 accounts and you will soon have money flooding into your Paypal account. Scam. This to me is just another for of MLM. Which is another scam to flush your money down the toilet.

2. Multi-Level Marketing (MLM)

“Lose 40 pounds in less than a month. Feel better with this miracle juice. Tone up with this miracle cream etc, etc..Once you try it, you will love it and even better if you get others to sign up under you; you can make thousands a month.”

This dear friends is known as Multi-Level Marketing (MLM). There are so many that I can’t get through even 1% of them. The usual basis of MLM is you see some product which is often, not worth the money, untested, unproven that you will get the results it claims to give you, and most importantly it might be dangerous. Just think, would you buy a bottle of green juice off someone on a street corner because they claim it will make you shed 100 pounds? Now the MLM I will talk about here is the “product” scam. This one is you are buying a product or joining up to work for them selling there product. If you buy the product they will tell you that you can get rich if you get others to sign up. You will be there sponsor and when they join to sell you 40% of the product price and if you sign up another you get 20% of there product price and so on. Or you need to sign up for the gold or platinum membership and make even more money, just $199.99 or more and don’t worry you’ll make that money back in no time. I’ve even seen some so ridiculous due to the fact that your purchasing all these products to try and make even more money, not realizing your losing money or at least no making any, just paying a little less for the less than worth it so called miracle product. The other part of a product scam is your not using or even buying it, your trying to make money solely by getting others to sign up. All those ads you see? On tv, cheap magazines, free newspapers, email and all over the web, well those are the people trying to get YOU to sign up and make them a commission. All you will be doing is trying to recruit more and more people to sell this product and earn some money. Some do it, but it’s very difficult and over 90% are scams.

3. Data entry/Claim Processing/Name Compiler

There are many other names for this. The whole point of it is to work at home as a typist/data entry worker. These people usually claim that they have so much work that they need help and its cheaper to get someone to work from home than to hire another computer or expand there onsite business. In these scams there is always a fee for the application which can be $30-$1000’s. Yes thousands. The companies will claim that to do there work you need to buy their special software. You can’t download it or buy it anywhere else, it has to come from them. And once again you will make back your money in no time. Yeah, sure you will. Just think of how fast you would make back that money if you flushed it down the toilet. Unlike some of these scams there are real work from home jobs for typists. They usually will not charge you to join. Just think about it. Why would you pay someone to let you work for them? Think about you going on a job interview, they tell you that you have the job, but they just need $300 and then you can start. Most of us would leave in a hurry. But for some reason reading it on paper seems to make sense for too many unwitting victims. I personally know more than 15 companies that hire typists and pay them to actually type. I filled out some applications and read the requirements for others. I was disappointed but pleasantly surprised to learn there were requirements and that I was turned down for the job. Most legitimate companies need workers who can type more than 60-80 wpm or even more kps (keys per second). As well as someone who actually has 2 years or more of experience usually as a secretary or administrative assistant.

Name compiler is scam #1 all over again. Instead of stuffing envelopes, you are sent materials, after you pay the fee of course, which will tell you to post the same ad you responded to all over the net in hopes of getting others to sign up. Your just spamming others and that’s it. No companies pay for a compiler anymore because it can be done electronically now, so theres no need for a compiler/typist for this sort of job.

The worst is the claim or payment processor. What they will have you do is not just unethical but it’s usually an illegal operation they pull innocent people into. Most won’t even know it until it’s too late. This scam works on many levels. If you answer the ad through email they can put malware on your computer steal your identity and sell it on the black market. You will be lured into thinking you are processing claims for a legitimate foreign company and will receive %20 or more commission on each payment processed. You then have to wire the money from your bank, western union or money gram. You are actually handling counterfiet money orders and/or check. You will have a lot to process as they need you to send as many as possible quickly before the bank or police find out and stop it. You are working for them, but your actually laundering money and all you will end up with is being an unwitting victim of a very big crime. With the criminals overseas you will be left holding the bag. There was a story about a woman who is facing charges on a similar scam. The twist? She is the victim. I feel that since the prosecutors can’t get the real criminals well, she’s taking the blame. She will more than likely go to jail because of scam.

4. Work At Home Lists

You only need to think about work at home opportunities and you will find a whole lot of scams coming up trying to sell you a list. Don’t do it. There are many places that post legitimate work at home jobs. Try work at home mom forums. Introduce yourself, meet people like you, who will be happy to point you toward the right direction. These lists are usually crap. You pay and IF they send you anything or send you to members room, all you will be most likely to find are out of date or broken links from companies no longer hiring. Everyone would like to work from home. When there posted in places for free people rush towards them, so how long do you think it is before the company has got the people they want and isn’t looking anymore?

5. Pyramid Schemes

The pyramid scheme or “matrix” is one of the oldest scams and against the law around most of the WORLD. A new variation is now on ebay. I’ve seen them all over. You type in ipod and thousands of listings come up. You will however notice some selling very cheaply, say $40. When you read up on it, you are told not to bid but go to this website or email the seller and find out how to get an ipod or playstation cheap or even free if you purchase things like mp3’s or ebooks from the site. You will usually see a list of names on a page. These are all people like you who have signed up for this “great deal”. You add your name to the list and your on the bottom of that list. You make purchases and get your name moved up. You can also move up faster if you recruit other people to sign up and purchase or sign up others, and on and on it goes. When your name gets to the top of the list, you usually will get the ipod, playstation, cellphone or whatever else it is that you signed up for. Now some do get the item. But this is still a pyramid scheme and many won’t even get the items they purchased or the free item they signed up for.

I’ve been working from home since December 2004. My daily quest is finding and applying for real work at home jobs. My latest find is one that everyone needs to be aware of — but not because it’s such a great job, but because it’s such a terrible scam.

This beauty was listed at a reputable job site. A job site that I think everyone has heard of, but one that I will refrain from mentioning by name.

The job was for a Shipping Manager, and the description was very impressive. I applied for it, and before I could even get off the website, I already had an e-mail telling me I had been hired. My duties would consist of receiving packages at my house, warehousing them briefly, and then mailing them overseas. I was told I would be receiving cameras and PDA’s. All of my packages would be shipped to Kryzykstan. I would be paid $25, via Western Union, for each package I received. I would receive 25 to 30 packages per week, and I would be paid weekly.

I immediately began checking them out. I looked at Whois. I called the BBB. I e-mailed the job site that listed it, and they had no complaints on the company. I called my local police and the FBI. I looked at all the online scam sites. I called my local television station — which runs a weekly feature on scams. I could find nothing negative on this company. Against my better judgment, I decided to accept the job and sent them a copy of my driver’s license.

About a week later, I received my first package. They told me not to open the package, but I was not about to send something to Kyrzykstan (or anywhere else for that matter) without knowing exactly what I was mailing. Turns out it was a digital camera. It was exactly what they had said it would be. There was an invoice and everything. I could see that it had been shipped directly from the maufacturer. That set my mind at ease. The next day I received my second package. It was another digital camera. Once again, it was exactly what they said it would be.

I e-mailed the company that had hired me and told them I had received both of my test packages. They said they would send me shipping instructions the following day. I spent the rest of that day learning about the mailing restrictions involved in sending packages to Kyrzykstan.

That evening, something occurred to me. What if these cameras had been purchased with stolen credit cards? I took the invoices out. One of them listed the name of the individual who was to be billed. I called him on the phone and told him who I was. I asked him if he had ordered a digital camera and arranged for third party shipping to Kyrzykstan? He had no idea what I was talking about! Turns out he had been a victim of identity theft.

My next call was to the police. They were nice but of no help. Two officers were sent out to take my report. The officer in charge told me he had no evidence of a crime! Which was stunning to me. He told me mistakes were made on invoices everyday. He said it sounded suspicious, but that was all. I ended up not filing a report — just so the cameras wouldn’t end up collecting dust in an evidence room.

The next day I called about the second camera. It was the same story. The camera had been purchased fraudulently.

I called my local FBI. They didn’t return my call. I called the FBI office in Denver. They told me that the individuals who were trying to get me to mail them the cameras were the ones who had used stolen credit cards to obtain them. He said that once they received them, they would sell them. Another thing he told me was to report this to the credit unions and my bank. He expects that I’ll be their next victim of identity theft. He seemed knowledgeable about this kind of scam, but had no interest in pursuing it. He also told me that my local FBI would not investigate it either.

After hanging up from him, I reported the crime to the Internet Crime Complaint Center of the FBI. http://www.ic3.gov.

My next question is, what are the funds from these stolen cameras being used for? Are these individuals in it just for the money? Or do they want the money to fund terrorism or illegal drug trafficking? I doubt that I’ll ever know.

Judging by how little action has been taken on this so far, I don’t expect to hear anything from the FBI. Even though this company claims it has over 2000 employees in the United States. If we have 2000 Americans sending stolen goods to Kyrzykstan everyday, what will be the consequences of that? Both for them and for our country? And why don’t the authorities seem to care?

If you see something like this, stay away from it. I specialize in helping people find work at home jobs; obviously, this isn’t one that I’ll be recommending to my clients.

Oh, and by the way, I mailed the cameras. But I didn’t mail them to Kryzykstan, I mailed them back to their rightful owners.

Below I will talk about the absolute best ways to make fast money online and work from home. Following are the top 3.

1. Affiliate programs
2. Google Adsense
3. Online surveys

Affiliate programs

Affiliate programs are the best way to start making money instantly. Big name companies like, Amazon, Circuit city, Best Buy, Expedia, and many many others are willing to send you checks for promoting their products online. All you have to do is go to the Commission Junction website www.cj.com and sign up for their associates program. You will then be given promotion tools in the form of text ads, banner ads ect. to promote the affiliates products. You then promote their products and earn commission on every sale, or even better, every LEAD ! That means you make money even if someone doesn’t even buy their product! Visit: www.mymoneymachines.com for more info.

Google Adsense

Google Adsense is a great way to make money without having to sell a product. You get paid a commission every time someone is directed to a companies website through your marketing efforts. With this program you will have to set up your own website to get started.

Online surveys

Online surveys are a great way to pull in extra income. All you have to do is sign up with survey companies and they will send you surveys in your e-mail box, each survey pays around $5-10, but if you are involved with several companies that money can easily add up to $50 a day or more, depending on how many companies you are involved with. An extra $50 a day is an extra $1500 a month! For more info on the top 5 survey websites visit: www.mymoneymachines.com

Multi Level Marketing is a simple business model based both on franchising as well as direct marketing. In this kind of model the buyer and seller have an independent contract. The sellers profit from their sales as well as the number of people they bring into the system. In spite of their brush with Ponzi Schemes, they are quite popular in all most all 50 states in US as well as 100 other foreign countries.

Terms like Affiliate Marketing are also used for this kind of businesses now. Usually commissions are earned on the basis of sale of products or services to end consumers who might also be a distributor.

How does MLM actually work?

First a small investment is made and then the person receives necessary supplies to start the marketing and selling the product. The range of products differs from vitamin books to weight loss supplements etc in many cases. In this particular model the person will have to refer others also to the programme. Every time a single unit is sold, the person gets commission.
The emphasis is not on selling products but on recruiting more and more people to this programme.

Compensation

Compensation works differently for different companies. There might be a Unilevel Plan, a Matrix Plan or an elevator scheme. The uniliver plan is the oldest and most popular one also. It features both managers and non managers and the sales are same all over the organization. The matrix plan works differently. It has a limitation on the width of each level in a distributor’s group, hereby forcing strong distributors to pile (”spillover”) their recruits over people who did not sponsor them. The Elevator Plan features a game board or a list where each distributor would pay in one or more product units to participate. When a certain number of units have been paid in, the structure splits and the earlier participant receives consideration.

Recruiting for MLM

Recruiting forms a basis of this model. To some people this comes naturally and they can bring in new people very fast into the system. These are the people who reap the rewards of this model fastest. If you are new to this business and you are not so successful in recruiting, you need to keep trying patiently. The new people need to be properly informed and then only should be brought to the MLM meetings and introduced to this business.
A good way of identifying a good prospect is by sending an online questionnaire. If they fill that up promptly, they are interested else they are not into it.

In fact Amway, the most successful company, employing this business model had to fight numerous legal suits. This does not mean that it is illegal.
So you’ve decided to become financially independent! You’ve chosen to work at home. Congratulations! I’m sure this is a decision that can turn your life around and lead you to financial freedom.

But that is going to happen only if you’re careful enough to let it happen! There are a few things you should really look out for when deciding to work at home.

When you set out to give the work at home business thing a try,
you’ll find out that this was just the easy part! The hard part is to discover which one is right for you.

With all these so called “opportunities” that flood the internet, you should be very careful in choosing a work at home business. To help you, I have put together a few simple rules:

Rule #1 : Try to avoid “get rich quick deals”

Now that’s a golden rule! Usually, when something sounds too
good to be true then it probably is!

Oh, I know these sound appealing and of course you would like
to get paid for doing nothing (so would the rest of us!).
But don’t you think that if these people had the magic solution to making big money they would use it instead of trying to sell it to you for whatever price?

It’s sad to know that so many people end up feeling frustrated
when they realize that they have wasted their time and hard
earned money. There are no magic tricks!
Commitment and hard work instead, can make you rich.

Rule #2 : Find a program that you really like and can work with

Another rule that’s essential! Say that you come across a
program that requires you to sell life insurance. You hate
insurance people, you think they’re full of hype.

So what, the compensation plan looks great! What would you do? Would you join the program? Could you picture yourself selling life insurance even if you hate the very idea?
The answer is that you’re never going to make any money doing something you don’t like!

The point I am trying to make here is, that you should go on and find out everything there is to know about the program you are interested in. Just spend some time doing an essential reading through the available material (company website, related articles etc).
Try to get an overview of how the system works and if you need more information or if you get confused , go ahead and ask the person who referred you to the program for help. Doing your
homework always pays off.

Rule #3 : Make sure you know exactly what you’re getting for your money

There are just too many companies out there that present you
with sales letters as long as a book but not even a hint as to
what you are actually getting in return!

If the product they’re selling is that good and is going to make you so much money, why hide it? Why only mention it in the last few paragraphs?

Ok, I know, it’s the way sales are closed. Still, you would like to know exactly what you’re buying. It could save you a lot of grief!

Rule #4 : Perform a background check on the company

The longer it has been around, the better. This way you know
that you’re dealing with an established company that will not go bankrupt 4 months after you join!

It has been known for people to lose their online businesses and commissions owed to them for this very reason. Choosing
a quality company is essential but can prove critical to the
survival of your work at home business.

Rule #5 : Make sure you’re going to get all the help that you need

It’s just typical for someone to join a program, pay his membership fee or buy a product and then be left in the dark,
not sure what on earth to do next!

Again, I’m repeating myself here but this is important, try to get an overview of how the system works, who your upline people are and how they can help you.

If you need more information or if you get confused, go ahead and ask the person who referred you to the program for help. In this way not only will you get an idea of how the program is structured but you would also be testing your referrer to see if he/she will respond promptly to your need for help.

But first, you have to have an idea of how the program works.

Rule #6 : Check out the compensation plan

Ok, so you’ve joined a program which, hopefully, is going to
make you rich. Do you know how this is going to happen?

It’s not necessary that you know every detail about the
compensation plan from the first day that you join. But still,
wouldn’t you like to know if you’re getting 5% or 60%
commission on an average sale?

After all, it takes the same amount of effort to generate a sale. Wouldn’t you like to be paid more?

Rule #7: Do not spend much at the beginning

A legitimate work at home business should be able to operate
at a minimum/low cost. You should not have to invest a lot of
money in any home business. At least not in the beginning.

When you do decide to invest some money into your own home
business, this should be your own decision, not someone else’s
and must arise from your understanding that a business is what
you make it.

There are more rules that I can add to these and make a
really long list but this is not my goal. My goal is to provide a clear path, a few steps that should be easy to follow through the minefield of schemes and “get-rich-quick” deals to a company you can really trust.

Using your own common sense is as important as having these
rules in mind when looking for an opportunity or a work at home
business.

Your decision to join a program should be the result of
considering facts and should not in any case come from mere
curiosity. Keep in mind that there are very few true work at
home opportunities out there and you have to find the one that’s perfect for you!

More and more companies are encouraging their employees to consider working at home as a means to improve employee morale, productivity and reduce overall costs. At one time, and there are still many people who think this way, if you were not in the office, your boss thought you were goofing off. In this article we will explore some of the communications issues of work at home jobs.

Most people will say the single most significant advantage of work at home jobs is not having to face the morning commute with the stop and go traffic congestion on the highways. The most significant disadvantage that many employees complain about is the lack of face time with the boss and colleagues. They often express a feeling of being disconnected from the company and their co-workers. Both of these interface issues can be remedied, however both the work at home employee and the company must place additional effort on these issues. Ensuring adequate and regular communication is a must to avoid that disconnected feeling.

In this article we have assumed that the work at home employee is fully equipped with all of the office tools they need to be productive and meet the requirements of their company. The central issue of this article is how to ensure that remote employees are recognized and feel part of the team. There are a number of steps that each can take to make sure that communications are well done and that disconnected feeling is avoided.

For example, either the boss or the employee can initiate weekly conference calls to discuss progress on milestones and productivity, issues that may need resolution and communicate company information. These calls are often with the group as a whole and provide an opportunity for everyone to hear the same message and ask questions that the team may be interested in.

Next weekly, sometimes even daily short calls may be needed to discuss project or work specific items that need clarification or direction. These are usually short calls and used for each team member individually to discuss personal as well as specific issues. Don’t let these wait, deal with them now, while you can still make a difference.

Finally, review how each team member likes to communicate. Some are much better using email and text messaging, while others are more reactive if you call them. Still in other cases, you may find that you have to chase some just to get the answers you need to do your job. Review each team member, including the boss and decide which form of communication is the best approach to use with them to ensure that your overall work at home experience is a success.

Working from home is a great way to stay home with your kids while still supplementing the family’s income. On the flipside, it can be challenging to be mother and employee at the same time. Your stress level will rise quickly when you have deadlines to keep or phone calls to make while your little ones are acting out. Implement a few of the ideas below to prevent Work at Home Mom Burnout.

1. Don’t work more than you have to. Money isn’t everything. You family needs a happy and sane mom.

2. Create a schedule or to-do list both for work and your personal life. Just realize that you won’t always get everything done and don’t worry if you don’t. There’s always tomorrow.

3. Designate an errand day. Spend one day a week running around town getting everything done for the week. This is when you will grocery shop, drop things off at the drycleaner, go to the post office and anything else you need to do.

4. Enjoy your kids. Take some time to play with them every day. Have a picnic lunch in the yard, take them on a little field trip or just play catch for a while. You’re a work at home mom because you want to spend time with your kids. Work and house chores can wait while you play.

5. Go out on a date with your spouse. Make date night a regular occurrence and connect with your lover.

6. Have lunch with a girlfriend. We need some adult conversation every now and then. Make time to stay in touch with your friends.

7. Call a friend. If you are having a bad day, call a good friend and just talk for a little while. You’ll be relaxed and rejuvenated when you get back.

8. Get some exercise. Go for a walk, join a gym, or try a Pilate’s class. Exercise will not only keep you in shape, it’s also a great de-stressor.

9. Play some upbeat music and dance around the living room. Who cares if your kids and the neighbors think you’ve lost it? You are having fun and are releasing all that build up physical energy.

10. If you own a business, stick to one until it more or less runs itself. Don’t burn yourself out by trying to run several businesses at the same time.

Start implementing a few of these ideas today and watch your stress level go down. You will prevent work at home mom burnout and get to enjoy life more. Your family will appreciate spending time with a fun and relaxed mom. That’s what it’s all about - spending quality time with your family

Are you keeping up with everything for your CPA regarding your work at home business?

Do not expect your tax preparer to get you every deduction coming to you if you aren’t keeping up with it all! There are many ways you can deduct items you may not be aware of. If you work from home, and it is your own business, you may need to look at what you are keeping up with for your CPA when tax time comes.

You can deduct a portion of the space you use to conduct your business, including the cost of internet service, the cost of your computer, your telephone bill, electricity, and any items such as lamps or filing cabinets that you must have in order to conduct your at home business. Stop right now and make a list of everything in your immediate space. Chances are you can deduct a portion of the cost of these items, including the cost of operating them.

It’s better to be safe than sorry

So you take a little extra time to document the lunch date with your Mom (did you talk about your business?), the wedding you attended last week (how many miles did you put on your car? Did anyone ask you what you have been doing? Did you mention the work at home business?)

In fact, make up some business cards (tax-deductible) and be sure to give them out everywhere you go. That “event” is a tax-deductible expense if you do.

While on vacation

1. Drop a business card in the jar at the restaurant (then your meal might be tax deductible!)

2. Stop by a few places known to allow posting of business cards such as Laundromats, Grocery stores, etc and stick a business card on the bulletin board (there’s your travel expense!)

3.Be sure to make a couple of calls to your downline or potential customers while you are out.that keeps your cell phone on the tax preparer’s list

Do you employ your kids?

Did you know that wages you pay your kids over age 7 could really help you at tax time? You do not have to pay social security tax on them if they are under 18. This is a huge benefit often overlooked! Even if you just pay them minimum wage to help you clean up your files every Saturday!

Do you do any at-home entertaining?

Yes, it is deductible! Be sure your guests know what you do. That is all! You may be able to deduct the entire expense.

Bottom line: when in doubt, save that receipt and be sure to keep it organized. Your CPA will thank you, and will likely get you a bigger break at tax time!

Early this year, Google released their new policy. They were unhappy with several different urls all linking to the same site showing up in their sponsored advertising search results and said that they would only be showing one single url . The highest bidder with the best clickthrough rate in the results would not only get pole position but the only listing.

Why did Google implement this policy?

To stop duplication of ads leading to the same merchant when affiliates bid on the same keyword. This is to ensure a diversity of ads in the results and more probably although not stated by Google, to stop the pay per click ads losing their effectiveness. As each ad would now go through to a different url, one user would be more inclined to click through on more of the results listed. As a result, Google will also be removing the url which used to have to be included in each ad.

How does this affect the work from home affiliate? As there is now only one spot per url, then you will be bidding with all the other affiliates or even the merchant and you will need to have the most effective clickthrough campaign to get a listing. Now more than ever the importance of landing pages will come into play. By creating redirection pages that have a different url to the affiliate link you can still bid on the same keywords and have a unique url. Now, if you can get the SEO of the page right and find other affiliates selling a competitor’s product who will exchange links, or better yet still pay for a link on your landing page, then you could get your foot firmly planted in the door. The reason for this, is that many sites that before had a high SERPS for the affiliate links are now being pushed “off the radar”.

At NZPCS we have been experimenting with this over the last few months and the results are incredible.

We expect a tapering off effect as more affiliates recognize the importance of creating landing pages.

A whole new service industry will arise as a direct result of this and we are already seeing products being marketed that claim to achieve the goal of sub-diverting the effects of Google’s new policy. In one experiment we conducted for a very competitive set of keywords, we achieved a result of one out of 125,000,000 results returned and also had our landing page show up in the same results; giving us twice the hits.

It’s early days yet, but we believe this has opened a whole new opportunity to gain ground with, or in fact overtake, sites that had the advantage of years of linking campaigns. Probably the most important thing we discovered is the seeming ability to gain better results than pages that have correct html and alt tags. We deliberately avoided using alt tags, made a few html errors and faired better in the results than competitors’ fault-free, flawless pages. We also wrote several keyword loaded articles and increased our SERPS in a few days, by playing around with Blogs and Google’s Beta sitemaps.

How does this help the home business affiliate? Our opinion is that there is now a level playing field and those that start developing the techniques of using landing pages and keyword loaded articles will have a huge advantage over those that decide to battle it out for the most effective combination of bidding and ad clickthrough ratios. With the removal of the compulsory showing of the url, visitors also won’t be able to differentiate affiliate links from Merchant links, till they arrive at the url. This also makes for some very easy page layout for publishers with Adsense accounts, as it has become even simpler to make Google ads appear as in site links.

Justin Boyce is program Director of NZPCS Directory to dollars work from home business. The program teaches how to effectively market online using mediums including safelists, forums, articles and blogging. He has developed several traffic arbitrages techniques which have been instrumental in his sites attaining top spots in highly competitive keyword categories. He also has some controversial views on SEO techniques but you can’t argue with his top ten SERPS on the three major search engines some in as high as 125 million results returned and his 200 to 300 thousand unique site visitors monthly.
